Ontario Express Entry Draw: 2,552 Invitations for Skilled Trades in 49 Occupations

On January 11, Ontario conducted an Express Entry draw under the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP), issuing 2,552 invitations for Canadian immigration. These invitations were extended to candidates in 49 occupations, each scoring between 350 and 424 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points.

Express Entry Skilled Trades Stream Overview

The Express Entry Skilled Trades Stream, focusing on skilled trades workers in construction and agriculture, requires applicants to have:

  • Active profile under the Federal Express Entry system.
  • At least 12 months of full-time paid work experience in Ontario within the last two years in specific NOC groups.
  • Proof of Ontario license or certification if required by the occupation.
  • A valid work permit and residency in Ontario during the application.
  • Minimum language proficiency (CLB/NCLC level 5 or above) in English or French.
  • Proof of required settlement funds.
